Villa Resort Phang Nga

The Concept

The project proposal is a result of an effort to find a location with the best terrain, climate, access, and environmental suitability for  year round sightseeing , ultimate salubrity and restoration of good health and condition in order to compete or surpass the best of  South East Asia’s world wide Resorts. This will be unique in the south of Thailand where the majority of resorts began as spin-offs or afterthoughts. Many originated as own company-run and they were built to lower 1 to 4 star quality with poor construction materials. They typically offer access in the categories of 1 to maximum 4 Star Resorts.

Villa Resort Phang Nga is focused on the Ocean Beach and Nature experience. All the critical components from the non-contrived layout of the resort core, to the bed-unit calculations and prettiness of the land ratio have been considered with the goal of creating the best Beach experience possible while providing safe and comfortable access to the beautiful countryside in this area.

The Project site has a unique size and prettiness and due to its terrain a high development potential. Access to several National Parks and Islands (e.g. Similan Island) give the project site a high potential.

The Villa resort (5 star premium) is situated on a large land area ( approx.3.000,000 sqm) at one of the most beautiful beaches (with > 3 Kilometers beach front) and regions of the South Asia with a multiplicity of Wellness, recreation, catering, entertainment, educational, and  cultural offers and programs. The concept of the villa resort is based on a luxurious villa resort facility not only in design and services but also in construction and in a beautiful setting with all the amenities a modern villa resort has to offer.

The Resort is not only expected to be a regional destination, but it is also expected to attract people from further afield – from the rest of the continent and from overseas. Because of the possibility to access this large, beautiful Beach area, National Parks and Similan Islands with significant vistas and with the highest quality construction and selection of construction materials, this project will be unique in Thailand.

Attractions

The Phang Nga area has attracted large numbers of visitors for more than two decades and especially the National Parks in this area have a stored history. Developing a resort close to the most spectacular diving and snorkeling waters able to be compared in multitude with locations in Australia is a target with very impressive possibilities. 

The Resort

The Resort will be created at a virgin land site of more than 3 Million Square meters. Surrounded by hills and with a white sand Beach front of more than 3.000 meters, we will be able to create in absolutely privacy one of the most exciting Villa Resort Developments.

The central and guiding concept is to create a resort with two functional features at each end of the resort, developing three major defined phases, while eschewing the densely packed, claustrophobic look that so often occurs in new developments.

A phased slow rate of growth, emanating from three different development starting points is planned and will be more in keeping the historical way in which hill and beach accommodation has developed and will result in a higher quality of design and development, less construction disruption, and a more human scale. To assist this process, it is intended that all development in the area be under one central project management and architectural guideline and control system, as detailed later in the Design Guidelines.

The gradual growth of the resort will also allow a step-by-step identification of the real needs for on-site staff accommodation and to plan it progressively according to the development of the resort, although both the expected requirements and potential expansion are addressed in the Master- and Business Plans. An important component in the resort will be the “Interpretive Centre”, which will become also an Environmental Monitoring Station for the development. It is planned that a large Consulting and Hotel Hospitality Company will be partners in the development will staff both the “Interpretive Centre” and the Environmental Monitoring Station, which will provide a yearly audit of the environmental progress of the resort.

Resort Base Vision and Overview

The Vision for the resort basically evolved over many years, through studies of other resorts, travel, and input from public and project team meetings. The Vision is that of an authentic Beach Village inspired by the construction in European Quality tradition, continuing with coherence the successful themes initiated in a Contemporary Asian Style.

This project will not only receive great public acclaim but it aims also to restore an authentic local tradition that has become increasingly diluted by a variety of developments of different inspiration and tastes.
